What we collect on the waitlist
Your email address, your ZIP code, and, if you choose to answer, where you usually try to buy drops and what you are collecting. We also keep a hashed form of your IP address to stop abuse, and the referral code and campaign tags on the link you arrived from.
Why
- To tell you when VettedQ opens in your area.
- To credit referrals once both people have confirmed.
- To show card shops how many pass holders near them want a given set. Shops see counts, never names.
How long
If you never confirm your email, your record is deleted 30 days after we sent the confirmation. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, and we delete your record on request at hello@vettedq.app.
Measuring the site
We measure how the site performs using Amazon CloudWatch RUM, a service running in our own AWS account. It records the page you loaded, how quickly it rendered, your browser and device type, the country your connection appears to come from, and any errors the page hit.
It sets no cookies and leaves nothing on your device, so there is nothing here to opt into or out of. The measurement tool briefly holds a key in your browser’s local storage while a page is open, purely so it can talk to our own account; we clear it as the page runs and again when you leave, and it never becomes an identifier that follows you from one visit to the next.
It never receives the query string, which means referral codes and the links in our emails stay out of it, and it is switched off entirely on the confirmation and unsubscribe pages. The data goes to no one but us.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with shops or anyone else in a form that identifies you.
